The Sky Bet Championship club has big ambitions when it comes to integrating a more digital, fans-first approach to ticketing. To realize these ambitions, Wycombe Wanderers has chosen international full-service provider NewC to future-proof the club digitally. The English club is NewC’s second UK partner, and England is country number five.
The partnership between NewC and Wycombe Wanderers include a customized ticketing solution, new access control setup, a state-of-the-art subscription functionality, and various digital improvements such as improved data handling capabilities.
Wycombe Wanderers and NewC have already set the partnership in motion as the new and improved ticketing setup made its debut in December when the Wanderers faced Coventry City FC at Adams Park.
Neil Peters, CCO at Wycombe Wanderers, states:
“We are excited to have made the decision to go with NewC as our strategic ticketing partner. Our staff has had an incredibly positive experience from the first meeting, and we feel certain that NewC is the right match to help us execute our digital strategy. One of our top priorities was to find a partner that can play an active role in developing a more digital and fans-first approach to ticketing now and in the future.
Mikkel Skou, CEO at NewC, says:
“We love to work with passionate and ambitious football clubs, and that is what we have encountered in Wycombe. We are excited and humble to be included as a small part of the club community – and we look forward to helping the club grow digitally for the benefit of their fans and commercial partners”.
The agreement with the English Sky Bet Championship club marks country number six for expanding NewC who has operated on the British market for more than a year after signing with Welsh club Cardiff City FC back in 2019.
The digital upgrade is for the fans
Wycombe Wanderers highlight the flexibility and user-friendliness as two of the major strengths of the NewC solutions that are already integrated at the club.
“There is no doubt that this is a clear upgrade for us as a club – and not least for the fans. We are glad to reward their loyalty with a very user-friendly ticketing solution that lets them buy, manage, and use tickets and season tickets on all devices very easily. Also, the NewC system can help us comply with the current and coming COVID-19 regulations such as offering personalization possibilities and ensuring the right distance between fans in the stands”, Wycombe Wanderers COO Neil Peters says.
NewC is a sports-focused, full-service provider that develops customized digital solutions for clubs world-wide. The international ticketing company has customers (football clubs and associations) in five different countries: Brazil, Wales, Denmark, Sweden, and England.
The company has succeeded in continuously expanding since launching a growth strategy in 2018. NewC has ambitions to help many more football clubs globally. Headquarters are in Denmark with offices in the UK and Brazil as well.
