As an international, digital full-service provider, we currently have offices in Denmark, Brazil, and the UK. Meet the NEWC SPORT team below.

Mikkel Skou
CEO & Partner
Back in 2009, Mikkel Skou founded NEWC SPORT together with partner Mads Christensen out of a desire to offer the football industry more flexible and future-proof, digital solutions.
Today, Mikkel is responsible for setting the right course for NEWC SPORT – and for exploring new markets and business opportunities globally.
Fun fact: Will follow.

Mads Christensen
CTO & Partner
Mads is the other founder and partner in NEWC SPORT. As CTO, he is the company tech wizz – creating the magic beneath the surface. When we develop new digital solutions or customize solutions to fit the partners, Mads is the go-to-guy.
Fun fact: Mads was a skilled badminton player at a young age winning several municipality championships.

Kristian Manley Skou
Business Development Manager
Kristian’s main responsibility at NEWC SPORT is handling access control systems across our club partners. This includes the physical setup at the stadiums and managing the systems behind the access control making sure that everything runs smoothly. Kristian also provides general support for our partner clubs on a daily basis. Kristian has worked in the football business for years and was a part of the UEFA EURO 2020 team in Copenhagen.
Fun fact: Kristian has studied chemistry for several years.

Helle Appelt Laursen
Project Manager
Helle works out of our Copenhagen office ensuring that our partners’ needs and deliverables are properly understood and met according to the proposed deadlines.
Helle has a key role in keeping the daily NEWC SPORT operations running and is always ready to help clubs and federations by solving problems and seeing the bigger picture, especially when it comes to making systems work together. After having worked professionally with ticketing in a football club at an earlier stage, Helle knows the challenges of working in the football industry.
Fun fact: Helle used to play elite handball but now she spends most of her time watching and thinking of football.

Adauto Oliveira
Key Account Manager
Adauto heads our Brazilian office and ensures that our partners’ needs and deliverables are properly understood and met according to the proposed deadlines.
He has a long background in the sports and ticketing industry (e.g. FIFA World Cup 2014 and the 2016 Summer Olympics) enabling him to develop solid and trusting relationships between key partners and NEWC SPORT.
Fun fact: Adauto is a skilled chef and use home cooking as a meditative activity.

Ana Beatriz Bartolomé
Project Manager
Ana is responsible for the NEWC SPORT operations in Brazil. She has vast expertise with top international event management and operations such as the Rio 2016 Olympic/Paralympic Games, FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014, and FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013.
Fun fact: Ana has for long intended to start pottery classes – it’s now one of her personal New Year’s resolutions!

Frederik Riber Larsen
International Business Development
Frederik is assisting NewC Sport with international business development, focusing mainly on the UK market.

Peter Smith
Commercial Manager UK
Peter is our ‘boots on the ground’ in UK when it comes to new and existing customers. Peter has vast experience from the world of football, both from working within clubs, such as Arsenal FC, and as a software supplier to football clubs for many years.

Lauritz Stræde Hansen
Head of Business Development, Brazil/LATAM
Lauritz is responsible for sales and business development efforts in Brazil and LATAM. Lauritz has lived +13 years in Brazil and has vast experience negotiating and closing deals from working in private equity, finance, business development, and sales for large international funds and financiers as well as the Royal Danish General Consulate in São Paulo. Lauritz sits on the board of several companies in Brazil and LATAM.
Fun fact: Lauritz won the Danish championship in basketball in ’96 and got Italy’s Marco Materazzi a table at a fully booked restaurant on the night of the 2014 World Cup Final in Rio de Janeiro.

Cecilla N. Heinesen
Accounting
Cecilla manages our monthly invoicing, the employee contracts, payments, and much more. She’s also an all-round administration assistant in our Copenhagen office.
Fun fact: Cecilla is extremely good at baking and creating chocolate treats.

Christian Christensen
Head of NEWC SPORT Brazil
Christian is the head of our Brazilian office in São Paulo. He’s the former CEO of Nordea Brazil and has significant experience within Finance and Business Development in Latin America. Christian has a long international track record and feels at home in a multinational environment. His key role is to lead and organize a strong collaboration between the Brazilian operation and the Danish team.
Fun fact: Christian is Danish-Indian and won the Danish Championship in taekwondo in his younger days.

João Sarävia
Business Development Brazil
João is responsible for the acquisition of new clients and top level client relationship in Brazil. His experience with C-Level relationship management and his consultancy background combined with his experience in major sporting events (Procurement Director of the Rio 2016 Olympics) adds a lot of value for both NEWC SPORT and the clients in the region.
Fun fact: João plays the drums, has released four records, and toured many times in Brazil with different bands whilst in his 20s.

Suellen Sampaio
Legal and accounting, Brazil
Suellen is responsible for administrative and legal matters for NEWC SPORT. She manages monthly invoicing and payments along with any legal matters related to the operation of NEWC SPORT in Brazil. Suellen holds a law degree from FMU and PUC.
Fun fact: Suellen doesn’t just “fight” in the court room as a lawyer. She has practiced Capoeira, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Judo, Boxing, Karate, and Jiu Jitsu – and still intends to try Kung Fu and MMA.

Ramon Saravia
Business Development Brazil
Ramon is responsible for getting new clients and new business opportunities in Brazil. His management consulting background, combined with his experience with C-Level relationship management and major corporations, contributes a great deal of value for both NEWC SPORT and the clients in the region.
Fun fact: Ramon practices yoga and daily meditation… but when you meet him you would never guess.

Joana Estrela
Business Development Brazil
Joana has an administration degree and started working with ticketing in 2013). She was involved in both FIFA World Cup (2014), The Olympic and Paralimpic Games (2016), Copa América Brazil (2019), and the U-17 FIFA World Cup Brazil (2019). Between those events, Joana has organized medical congresses and also worked for the Brazilian government.
Fun fact: Joana’s very passionated about football, cooking, and beach life.

Ricardo Teixeira
Strategic Business Development Brazil
Ricardo is responsible for our strategic business development in Brazil. His “full circle” experience with ticketing – working as provider, organizer, in football clubs and federations – allows him to see the big picture in the industry and workflow. Ricardo’s global network from major events such as FIFA World Cup, Summer Olympic Games, and AFC Asian Cup helps NewC Sport design the best strategies in order to develop partnerships and businesses.
Fun fact: Ricardo wanted to be a diplomat to get to know new countries and cultures. He gave the dream up but has later in life achieved the same goals in the world of football.

Renata Carvalho Aredo
Key Account Manager
Renata is responsible for supporting the Brazilian clubs served by NewC Sport. She has worked with ticketing management and operations at several sporting and musical events, such as the Rio 2016, Paralympic Games, Conmebol Copa America (2019), Rio Open ATP 500 (2022), and Rock in Rio (2022).
Fun fact: Renata loves being close to nature, walking on the beach and hiking in Rio.

Otávio Pinto
Key Account Manager
With almost 10 years of experience with ticketing and past major events like the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Otavio is now back in Brazil to help the national clubs advance to the next level. He’s a key account manager overseeing and helping with ticketing operations.
Fun fact: As a tradition, Otávio makes a giant 3 kilo hamburger every year with his friends.

Manuel Jorge
Marketing and Customer Relations (intern)
Manuel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Administration and is currently doing a Master’s Degree at The Football Business Academy. He writes for a football news website and also co-hosts a football-related podcast.
Fun fact: Manuel first started liking football when he was about 13 years old, but ever since he can’t get enough of the world’s most beautiful game.

Max Rosen
Digital Development (intern)
Located in our Brazilian office in São Paulo, Max supports our team in customizing and integrating digital solutions for our partner club S.E. Palmeiras.
Fun fact: Max is French-Canadian and is a huge fan of the basketball team Toronto Raptors.
